Employment and training
Central Medical Group (CMG) is focused on the ongoing development and support of all our people. Our aim is to be the very best we possibly can be, while retaining work-life balance and individual flexibility.
We have a strong commitment to training and we liaise closely with our training provider Murray City Country Coast GP Training (MCCC). Each year we accept doctors into our registrar training program and earlier this year we were excited to have additional specialised training facilities and consulting rooms available. We have a particularly experienced team of GP obstetricians who are supported by our special team of women's health nurses and midwives. Consequently we have a higher than usual proportion of young families in our patient demographics.
In 2018 CMG has placements open for both GPT1/T2 and GPT3/T4. We proudly believe our registrars and recent fellows are testament to the quality of the training and the opportunities that are available here. If you are interested in training at CMG and would like to know more about what makes the CMG training experience so special, in the first instance please contact the General Manager John Galvin on (02) 6024 3222 for a confidential initial discussion. We facilitate and encourage direct contact with our registrars to give you a well-rounded assessment of both the opportunities and expectations. For more information click here.
Central Medical Group supports its registrars with formalised teaching and on site supervision at all times. The six associate doctors are qualified supervisors who each have a passion for teaching and supporting the next generation of doctors. Amongst our senior doctors we have the Director of Training for ACRRM, college examiners, an AMC examiner and a MCCC educator. The local training provider MCCC supplements this with excellent additional support and training. We are very proud of the contribution our registrars bring to CMG in terms of patient care, sharing their knowledge with our wider clinical team and socially.
