Alison Green GP Training Centre

Alison Green GP Training Centre

Central Medical Group (CMG) is committed to the development of the next generation of General Practitioners, with a strong focus on high quality registrar education. To support this mission, we have established a dedicated supervised registrar training centre designed to guide registrars from their first day as GPs in training through to the completion of their fellowship.

This Training Centre provides a structured, supportive, and clinically rich environment where registrars can grow their skills, build confidence, and develop into capable, community focused GPs. Our model emphasises hands on learning, close supervision, and continuity of mentorship throughout the entire training journey.

The training centre has been named in honour of Dr Alison Green whose decades of service as a supervisor in the Albury–Wodonga region shaped generations of local GPs. Her commitment to education, patient care, and professional excellence continues to inspire our approach and remains at the heart of our training philosophy.

GP Training

  • GPs in training

The Alison Green GP Training Centre is suitable for all GPs in Training (GPiT). This includes RACGP and/or ACRRM. The training centre can accommodate multiple GP trainees from any training program.

    This currently includes:

    • Australian general practice training (AGPT)
    • Fellowship support program (FSP)
    • ACRRM independent program

In future, the aim would be to accept any trainee including those seeking AMC qualifications; and trainees requiring level 1 supervision.

Along with GPs in training, the Training Centre will support hospital trainees, those that have selected general practice as one of their rotations at a hospital.
